AVOID OBJECTS HITTING THE EDGES OF BATHTUBS AND SINK UNITS
Corian® has a high impact resistance due to the combination of its raw materials, however it is recommended to avoid impacts with objects on the edges. Should an impact cause damage to the material, it can be repaired by a specialist processor. Please contact us to be referred to our approved partners.
AVOID USING TAPS AT VERY HIGH TEMPERATURES
You should be particularly careful when using taps that supply hot water instantly at high temperatures as this is not recommended. Such a change in temperature could not only cause burns to the person handling it, but also damage the bowl.

AVOID HARMFUL CHEMICAL SPILLS
Avoid harmful chemicals such as pipe cleaners and paint removers. If this happens, the stain should be removed as soon as possible with plenty of soapy water to prevent damage. Do not expose surfaces to strong chemicals for prolonged periods (more than 16 hours). Be particularly careful with solvents, acetone, Methylene and drain cleaners, in case of accidental exposure, rinse with plenty of water.
CLEANING THE SOLID SURFACE
This antibacterial stone dust material helps to keep installation areas clean, aseptic and in perfect condition. The non-porosity of Corian® prevents the growth of bacteria, reinforced by the absence of joints and protruding corners. All these advantages allow your product to be kept in perfect condition with very simple maintenance. In addition to easy cleaning, the fact that the material can be repaired on site is a great advantage and a significant difference compared to other materials.
This allows you to keep your home and facilities looking as good as new. Solid surface is an easy-to-clean material and cleaning should not be neglected. Although the surface is not absorbent due to its non-porosity, immediate action without letting the stains rest on the surface of the material will make cleaning easier and faster. It is important to wipe the surfaces completely to avoid traces of limescale or remains of detergent or cleaning agents. Your product may mark, the stain should not be left for more than 16 hours, otherwise the stain may be unremouvable.

MAINTENANCE PRECAUTIONS
It is not advisable to use very strong cleaning products based on hydrochloric acid or products dedicated to the cleaning of pipes. It is also not recommended to use acetone-based products, industrial detergents and paint solvents. If any of these products are spilled on the surface, they should be removed immediately by washing with plenty of water and then cleaning thoroughly to prevent damage. Such damage can be repaired by a specialist.
CORIAN AND COVID 19
Recommendations for the disinfection of Corian® surfaces infected with Covid 19 can be found in the official document of the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDPC). The key point is: "The use of 0.1% sodium hypochlorite (1:50 dilution of 5% concentrated bleach) after cleaning with a neutral detergent is suggested to decontaminate surfaces, although no data on efficacy against the Covid 19 virus are available. The Corian® Solid Surface material is non-porous, making cleaning, disinfection, and decontamination protocols easier.
The Corian® joints allow for two parts to be joined with a smooth, continuous surface with no grooves or discontinuities that could harbour viral contamination.
