The Tiegezh Hotel, a charming 4-star hotel in the heart of Morbihan
We had the pleasure of working for the Tiegezh Hotel on the construction of all the bathrooms in the hotel's rooms. We were keen to create bathrooms that would live up to the expectations and service offered by this charming hotel, which is brimming with authenticity.

Can you introduce yourself in a few words?
We are Baptiste Denieul and Marion Denieul, we are the owners of Maison Tiegezh which is located in Guer between Vannes and Rennes, in Morbihan in Brittany. Maison Tiegezh is a hotel, a 4 star restaurant and a bistro. We opened in June 2019. Our restaurant is a Michelin-starred gastronomic restaurant. We offer local dishes, made with products from local producers. We want to highlight our beautiful region.
Why the name Tiegezh you may ask? Tiegezh means "the family" in Breton, and that's what seemed to define us best. A family hotel, where we wanted to create above all a peaceful place where you feel at home.
How did you hear about us?
By word of mouth, we found out about the company through an acquaintance. We liked the fact that it was a local and Breton company. This was important to us, and is in line with our values and what we want to share, working hand in hand with local companies.
Was it a renovation or a creation project?
It was a pure creation project. We had to redo the whole building. We started from scratch, but it was a very rewarding project. We were able to discover and learn about many different trades. At the same time, we were able to experience for the first time the making of furniture in Solid Surface.

Why did you choose Solid Surface?
It's a guarantee of quality, we're a top-of-the-range 4/5 star hotel. We wanted our customers to benefit from the best, both in terms of comfort and aesthetics. Solid surface seemed to us to be the ideal material for our bathrooms.
We wanted our customers to have a real experience with quality materials. Solid surface is ideal because it is very pleasant to the touch. soft and silky. The material adapts perfectly to the surrounding temperature, which means that the material is never cold and thus promises comfort for our users.
In addition to the quality of the material, the technical aspect of the material was also the factor that made us choose the Solid surface. Since we are a hotel, this means that our furniture will be used intensively on a weekly basis. So we needed a material that was resistant, easy to maintain and clean. This material can be regenerated and repaired, which means that it will last for a long time
What were your expectations for the design of your bathrooms?
We wanted modern, uncluttered bathrooms. We therefore opted for the marbled colours in Krion® solid surface. We are delighted with this, because we have the aesthetic appeal of this beautiful marbled finish, which brings a real charm to the room and a certain luxury effect. At the same time, we have all the advantages of the solid surface material, namely that it is easy to maintain because it has no visible joints, it is antibacterial, it is durable, and it is also stain-free and repairable. We can regenerate the material by simply sanding it, which guarantees a very long life for our products. This is a worthwhile investment for the long term.
Realization of bathrooms in solid surface
What have you done with Solid surface in your bathrooms?
Almost all of our bathroom furniture was made using Solid Surface.
First of all, we had the formwork for our bathtubs made, and everything was made to measure so that our bathtubs could be fitted in perfectly. The formwork was made of Krion® Carrara Dark, which reminds us of the look of marble.
Our washbasin tops were also made in Solid Surface in the same colour, we chose to have thermoformed washbasin tops made to measure, so that they would fit perfectly into our bathrooms. We chose the PERLE model, with its nice oval shape that brings a modern touch to the treatment area.
The Kanagawa wall shelves also bring a real charm to our bathrooms, and dress up our walls while being very practical in terms of storage. We had them made in Corian® in the GRAVEL colour, which is a black with small white splashes.
For the creation of our PRM bathroom, we absolutely wanted to keep the same spirit and charm as our other bathrooms, with this marbled aspect. We were able to fulfil our wish, thanks to the design of the custom-made furniture so that it complied with the standards and was completely adapted for people with reduced mobility.
Are you satisfied with the result?
Yes, we are very happy with it, everything was done to our expectations. We have had a lot of positive feedback from our customers. From our side, the Solid surface keeps its promises, nothing has moved and they have kept their original appearance thanks to regular maintenance. We would recommend VASCOPLAN without hesitation, both to professionals and private individuals.
